Hi
My main metar image metar.gif is transparent the other 5 are not
Please see here http://www.northantsweather.com/wx23.html
I have added the image of the metar.gif to show what it looks like on the comp
what do you mean by transparent exactly?
what you have shown does not lend to knowing what you are meaning
You can see the background colour of the page through it the others are green!
is this when viewing it in WD?
try changing the background colour and see what happens or the background image
No this is only when viewing it on my site, thats why i posted the link
to the page where it is for you to see in the 1st post…
OK now I see, metar.gif is transparent, but metar2.gif etc are not.
i am still not clear
so you do or do not want it to be transparent?
if not, then unset to have that transparent
(and note that the metar2.gif , metar3.gif are not at this time able to be created as transparent)
Hello Bashy,
if I go directly to your metar.gif page here:
http://www.northantsweather.com/metar.gif
…it also shows the transparent/grayish colored background
and directly to the another metar here:
http://www.northantsweather.com/metar2.gif
, like metar2.gif, that show the other colored background,… so it must be a setting within WD Control Panels/ and not any of the code on your webpage.
hope this helps…chris
Where’s that setting? I found the background color but not the transparent setting
yeah its a strange one, but i will tell you how this came about
I was using a background image for that metar.gif but then deleted it by accident
so i had to go back to using the background colour, yes, i turned off the image option
“Show this image” = No
Now i have decided to add them to my page today and this is when i found out metar.gif
aint playing ball…
Now you know how it might have happened, perhaps it might shed some light on it Brian?
Ps. (its transparent in the webfiles folder also, butnot in WD)
the transparent setting is in the summary image and icon setup.,…if you set that to be transparent, then other image files are also set to be transparent (exect the metar2.gif, metar3.gif (which I could get to be, if needed)
note that it will not be transparent in WD as you are not then viewing a transparent gif
its still not clear if you do or do not want it to be transparent on the web site
Got it!
Ah, ok great, no i don’t need the others transparent thanks, although i would have thought
having a background colour would have overruled the transparency, evidently not?
All working fine now
Thanks Brian
Thanks for the image, i did find it straight away though
i will change it so that it says, and other images, in that setup
Probably a good idea to have it apply to all the metars too if that’s not a big deal.
OK,done for next update
