Messing up moving my software

I am sure this has been covered many times and I apologize for my stupidity but here goes. I bought a new house in November and it took me until now to get my Davis Vantage PRO2 back up on my roof. I bought a new computer and decided to use it for my weather station. I tried to migrate the information from my old computer and I could not get it to work. So I installed the Weather Link logger software and went ahead and installed the old Weather Display I had downloaded when I first installed it and it installed as a trial. Can I get a new registration number without paying for it? I do have the registration number from my old install. Also can I update the old trial software without uninstalling the old version?

Moving WD to a new/different PC

To move your current Weather Display to a new PC, follow these steps: Read this entire FAQ, including the notes, before starting the move! On the old computer, from the Weather Display main screen go “Action”, “Back Up Windows Registry Entries”. Shut down WD to close all files.
