Same database error as a couple of days ago. It’s a weird TLS error that I’ve never seen before and I’m not sure why it’s suddenly started happening. I need to restart the database and things should hopefully limp along until I get the new database solution fully in place.
Database on first server is up and running. Waiting for the second server to sync up now, so hopefully it won’t be long until I can start the GFS download running again.
Two out of three servers back online. Unfortunately I can’t start them up in parallel and there’s no way to know how long each server will take. If there’s a lot of difference between the servers it’s basically down to synchronising tens of GB of data across and then rebuilding the server. If there’s not much difference then it might be a handful of records to transfer.
Unfortunately today we seem to be in the tens of GB of data to sync across.
All server databases back in sync and the GFS/ECMWF downloads have started. I’d guess 30-40 minutes to data availability. You can check progress here - WxSimate Data Availability Statistics
I may be in bed before the downloads complete.
I have a busy day planned out for tomorrow, but if I can find time I’ll move the GFS/ECMWF databases off the current servers onto the new ones which will hopefully be more reliable.
