Currently investigating. It’s a database issue, but one I haven’t seen before “Too many connections”.
The database cluster is in recovery mode. The first node is back up and the second is starting. It’s not possible to predict how long this will take. It depends on how much data needs to be synchronised between the nodes. It can be anything from about 15 minutes to an hour or more.
The database cluster has re-synchronised. The GFS and ECMWF scripts are running so there should be new data soon-ish.
00z GFS and ECMWF data is now available for 17th December.
I’ll investigate further to see if I can see why too many database connections were in use. However, the connection status is pretty transitory so I can’t see the state immediately before the error. The logs could possibly be processed but life is too short to try to do that! I’ve increased the number of connections allowed which will hopefully avoid the issue in future.
