Maxmind as used in Whos Online, have they been having some problems I cannot get the city IP database at the moment?
Using http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLiteCity.dat.gz although maxmind.com is up the subdomain they host the files on appears down.

I’ve had to download the file manually (even with the time-out set to 1800), it took me 9 minutes(average speed of 20 kb, slightly more then a good old modem) on a broadband connection to download the file, the site itself says it is due to an unusually high number of downloads. Unpacked and uploaded it manually to my server.
Just to let you know that this is probably a temporary glitch…
