I am in Germany at my other home at the moment and have set the PC time to the Brazilian time so when responding to email clients see the Brazilian time and not the German time. But wdisplay picks up that Brazilian time too showing a 5 hours delay. Is there any way to manually adjust wdisplay to set it 5 hours ahead?
Thank you kindly.
I don’t think there’s a way to do that. For a short time I was running WD on a device in a data centre two time zones from my home. I wasn’t able to find a way to have WD operating in a different time zone to the computer it was running on. I had to manually override the OS to say which time zone it was in to make things work.
Can you do this the other way? Does your mail client allow you to show emails as if they were in a different time zone than the computer is set to?
That’s a shame, but using split time zone for different apps is a little unusual so perhaps it’s not surprising that it’s not a widely supported feature.
Before I retired I worked in a multi-national company. We used the MS suite of apps including Outlook for mail. I seem to rmemeber that it was possible to use a different time zone in Outlook, but that might have been a different Enterprise version. You probably don’t want to swap email clients, but it might be worth investigating if you could use Outlook for this.
