thats good
Hello Pratty,
Which version of the Logitech driver are you using?
John
I will have one of these cameras by early next week.
I too had this problem however before I tried Brian’s built in web cam streaming I had stumbled upon webcamxp.com. Although the software is meant for using web cams for internet chats I’ve found it’s also a great way to stream a nature / weather video. Download their latest beta software from http://www.webcamxp.com/download.html.
Next signup for an account at myvideochat.net. Then enter your login /pw into webcamxp once you have it installed and now you can stream using webcamxp FREE
Once your streaming is setup the way you like use the options/generate HTML code for your site feature and stick that HTML into your web site.
Here’s what mine looks like http://www.brettphilp.com/weather.
This is still a problem with mine. I have been using Image and Movie Salsa without problems. I wanted to switch to and have WD handle all the web cam work, but between a few minutes, and a few hours, the zoom-tracking feature just turns itself on. I have been unable to get a handle on it. At the same time I switched to having WD handle everything, I also upgraded my camera drivers. Thinking it might be the problem, I switched back to Salsa, and everything is fine again…

My Face Zoom always pops up as On and I have to turn it off, however this only happens when I have to relaunch WD… Once I have turned it off it stays off until I have to close and restart WD, mine has always been this way…
We have seen so many different reports regarding the Pro 4000, face zoom and WD that I just don’t see it as being WD specific myself as some have no problem, some are like me and only see it upon start and some see it more frequently…
If I am not mistaken we have seen a couple of reports of this with other software as well…
Just wish we could figure out the common setting - thread for those that do experience this.

Yes. I also do not see it as something Brian should spend much time on. Since it is very intermittent and web cams are pretty cheep, it might just be time for a upgrade. 8)

Mine does as Bob. I have to turn it off each time I restart. Darrel, what version of WD are you using? I don’t remember which version but Brian had WD resetting during the night. It would turn on my face tracking each night. He changed that and now it only happens on restart.

I’m at work now, so I can’t see what version I am running, but my version is only a few days old. I update it all the time.
Also, this was not just resetting at night. It would happen at all different times. Sometimes after just a couple minutes. It could be that I have another setting wrong that is causing it to be reset more often.

Hello,
Well I have stopped WD doing the webcam capture, and am now using ‘Active Webcam’ to capture the images, which works just fine, and does not turn the face tracking on when ‘Active Webcam’ is restarted. i.e. once turned off, stays off.
