Logitech 750 or other wireless still/video solution?

Is anyone using this system in conjunction with WD? I know the 9000 is a popular webcam model that many of you use, but I thought I would like to have some sort of setup like what the 750 offers. If I am not mistaken, the 9000 is a USB camera. I don’t want to mount the cameras in USB range of the computer so I am seeking a wireless camera solution. Either a proprietary wireless solution like the 750 or a traditional IP camera. Any suggestions on a wireless camera? preferably one with nightvision. Can be mounted inside or outside.

I am trying to accomplish two purposes. One is to have a camera pointing towards my driveway area to detect motion and alert me and capture a picture or start a video sequence for a minute or whatever after it detections motion.

The second camera would be set up to do still caps or video feed for my weather station.

Thanks

Still wanting to know if there are any non-USB, i.e. IP-based cameras that have been known to work with WD?

I don’t want to be limited to a Logitech 9000 type cam that needs to be within X feet of the computer. I want to mount a camera on the second floor for better viewing.

Thanks…

Didn’t realize that was the question, sure, how much would you like to spend? Many have been covered on this forum such as the Panasonic BL-C140, long thread here (I have one), Panasonic BL-C1A (indoor cam, needs to be enclosed or look thru a window), the Sharx (wireless IP), Axis and Canon (but those are both real money).

Hello Niko,

Seems the Axis is held in high esteem but is expensive and the Panasonic models aren’t cheap either. Been corresponding off list with a guy about the Foscam. He has them and the Panasonic and thinks the Foscam is as good.

BTW, I see Amazon is selling the Logitech C910 today for $60…

Thanks…
