Localcal.txt Error issue

After reviewing the search engine, I have noticed that this particular issue is no stranger to this forum.
For about a week now, I have been getting bulletins about " Localcal.txt is either missing or empty suggesting that local station data is not current" and whether I wish to use the local station data or not.
I have checked the date and time in WXSIM and WXSIMATE which is correct and made sure that both reflect DST .
Also, the file addresses seem to be correct in WXSIM and WXSIMATE.
The only things that I have noticed is that the “Effective Time” on the right side of WXSIMATE is permanently locked on 4:55 instead of the forecast time, and what appears to be 00 data for wind and cloud measurements, all which are checked in the Local station data import screen.

Localcal .txt file in my WXSIM folder is empty, and the Localdat .txt has the correct date in it but does show that 4:55 in the list of data.

Checking the station itself, all my other display monitors are reading and updating current conditions including the WEATHERLINK display monitors and logger.

Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to resolve it ?

Thanks,
DD

usually that happens when wxsimate cannot find the logfile from your data collection software or the logfile is not up-to-date due to software is not talking to the weather station
you have not said what software your using to get the data from the weather station

Harold, thanks for your response!

I currently run a Davis Vantage Pro 2 station and running the Weatherlink software program.
As it turns out, after speaking with Davis support, it appears that perhaps the issue was a corrupted report, which I just deleted (I think) in the Weather Link data logger.
I have run a couple of WXSIM forecasts, and so far, they ran without a hitch and no warnings about localcal.txt
I am hopeful that the issue has been resolved! fingers crossed.

Regards,
Dave
