While not freaky, we are expecting thunderstorms today, for anyone interested in buying a Boltek tracker.
Julian has nearly finished a lightning track window that is part of WDL …its really great!
You guys are going to force me to buy one of them Boltek’s
Sure wish I didn’t have to buy the Nexstorm software to make it work with WD…
Just finishing the little tweaks like adding a graph of strike frequency - similar to the Nexstorm applet. Need to do a few tweaks to the rest of WDL then I’ll release it.

Expecting more thunderstorms over the next few days.
I’ve noticed that strikes over the ocean go as far as 1400 km away, while over land it struggles at 700km.
Cheers

I added a 1-wire Lightning detector about two weeks ago. Every few days I get a burst of activity. Just 10 or 15 strikes within a minute and then it stops. Considering it’s the middle of winter here in SE Pennsylvania this seems odd. Nothing electrical around the house seems to be generating the activity. Could it really be lightning this time of the year?
It’s cold (11.3 degrees F) and snowing heavily today, and I just got a burst.

It’ll be electrical interference/activity nearby. Neighbours central heating starting?
