I’m using the Franklin lightning detector to read lightning strikes and it works very well. Anyway, I was wondering what the lightning “signal” looks like if captured by an oscilloscope. I have a 125 MHz oscilloscope (Red Pitaya) and was thinking to write some filter code to ~500 kHz (I think that’s frequency band of the lightnings) and extract the lightning spikes from the raw signal.
Has anyone captured the lightning signal with the scope?
