Hi - I am a home user (not a business); if I purchase a license, how many computers may I use it on? I have one laptop and three home computers (family) plus iphone and android. Can I install the WD software on all/each with one license? Thank You!
You certainly can VIEW it on the iphone and android but I doubt you’ll want to link to a station and run from there, so maybe I misunderstand your question.
Do you have multiple stations to run WD to gather and display data?
I have three stations running on one computer, and all under one license.
Please clarify with Brian, but at the time he said that was acceptable since I had one purchase, and could run several instances of the program, each talking to a different weather station, and still meet his licensing requirements.
I have purchased three licenses, one for each of the computers I run this program on (yeah, I’ve got that many different stations here) but obviously I can view them from work, on my phone and friends can look at my web page to see my weather display results.
If this isn’t your exact question, please clarify, and if Brian (who holds the copyright to the software and licenses it) has a different interpretation, I would go by his rules.
I felt since this is such a versatile program and interfaces with so many things and just keeps on running solid, that I put one copy on EACH of the computers that are stand alone and gather data from different stations. It is relatively cheap for all the entertainment it gives me.

OK to be clear: I have ONE Davis Vantage Pro Weather station
and I’d like to be able to see the graphed data on several computers (1 laptop and three PCs) plus iPhone/Android phones
and I use a MeteoBridge to send the data to various weather services (Weather Underground; PWS) as well as my home network.
sounds like it is OK to do - but I cannot find that info in any of the written “stuff”
Have you tried setting one of the computers up in client mode? I’m not sure if this is what you want or not. I put WD on my wife’s pc in client mode so she can see the data from my weather pc.

Coincidentally, I have just set up a second instance of WD on my computer (following the FAQ here) and it comes up unregistered. Should I e-mail Brian?
if WD is set to client mode then it should be Ok
My second instance of WD is not client, it’s currently showing a friend’s NetAtmo to prove that it can be done
I’ve always understood you can run more than one instance on one licence?
Yes
Thank You! Installing separate programs on each computer (all receiving the data from the one source via MeteoBridge) is a lot easier than going through client mode…I’ll purchase the program now - Thank You!
So just to confirm…
I’m a new user. I’ve downloaded and am running the software on my Mac Mini. It works perfectly BTW. I’m about to purchase the license but would like to confirm that I can use the same license for my Mac Mini, and for a Raspberry Pi that I plan as my long term solution. Is that correct?
Thanks
the consolewd program for raspberry pi is free (well its donationware but I think I have only had 2 donations?)
Happy to donate when I light it up. Thanks.
