I’ve noticed a problem with my Last 7 Day’s Rainfall. The console and graphs created from the clientraw file show 0.0 inches for all 7 days. I have had rain 3 of the last 7 days. Checking the clientraw file, fields 485-490 have 0.0. in them for all 7 days. Rain for the last 31 days
looks fine.

Sorry Brian, I should have been more clear in the original post…
View/Rain Chart was what I was referring to as the (WD) “console” versus data displayed on my webpage. The “Detailed Rain Chart” does have entries for the month that look correct. Values for 8/23-8/25 are 2.040, 0.830, and 0.190 respectively.
I was runing V 10.37Q build 61 when I noticed the problem. I upgraded to Build 69 and verified that problem still existed before I posted the prblem.
I have attached a couple of screenshots from WD and my web page to help describe the issue a little better.

the screen shot of the data in WD, shows all zeros for rain past 7 days
same as the data on your web site

do you mean that there should be rain data showing under view, rain chart, last 7 days in WD?
is that is what you mean, then that is what I posted above: the data on the web will not be correct if its not correct in WD itself
that last 7 days rain data gets shuffled along at the daily rain reset times

I had physically had rain on 8/20, 8/23, 8/24, and 8/25. I should have rain values for SAT, TUE, WED, and THU.
WD does not show any values for those days on the “Rain to Date” screen inside of WD nor in clientrawextra.txt and thus not on my web page.
Looking at WD on the “detailed rain chart” I see values for 8/20, 8/23, 8/24, and 8/25. In clientrawdaily.txt, I see values for Rain Month 26 (i.e. 8/20), Rain Month 29 (i.e. 8/23), Rain Month 30 (i.e. 8/24), and Rain Month 31 (i.e. 8/25).
Therefore, Days of the Week (SAT, TUE, WED, and THU) should have values too then inside of WD and inside of clientrawextra.txt.
I leave WD running 24/7. It is connected to a VP2 with data logger.

Totally blank. “Auto refresh was not checked.” I have it checked now.

Using the log file viewer, I see the rain accumulate in the “Rain Day” column for the dates mentioned previously.
Any reason for me to try and revert to “Older version (10.37O Build 02)” as a data point for you?

I let the month change from August to September with build 71 to see if anything would change. Still have 0.00 with all of the days of week on the Rain chart. (There was rain on 8/29 and 08/30 so SUN and MON should have values).

I was hoping that when c:\wdisplay\datafiles\month92011.inf got created something would change relative to the weekday rain.
Just to try something, I loaded Older version (10.37O Build 02) last night and left it alone to “roll over to the next day” at midnight. All weekday values are sitting at still at 0.00 this morning.
When in the process do the values for the days of the week get filled in by WD? Nightly transition? Whan the rain occurs?

I noticed something else. Yesterday Rainfall is not filling in for me either. I had about 1/2" yesterday.
Another perplexing detail … I may have found something…
At 0815 local on Sat, 9/24, WD showed: Yesterday Rainfall with a value of 0.05. This can be seen in the file WD-Rain-Sat.jpg. I believe this to be a false value. The rain recorded for Friday is 0.01 inches.
Possibly difference to past events is there was rain between midnight and when I checked at 0815 on Sat. Saturday’s first Rain shows up at hour 0, minute 4
This morning at 0823 local on Sun, 9/25, WD showed: Yesterday Rainfall with a value of 0.00. (This should be Saturday’s rain which totaled 0.07 inches). This can be seen in the file WD-Rain-Sun.jpg.

Using the log file viewer inside of WD this morning (9/25) shows that “Rain Day” value has 0.07 for the first two entries on 09/25, then it is reset to zero at hour=0,minute=2. This can be seen in the attached logview-925.jpg file. If I look at the 92011lg.txt, I see the same thing. Further review of that file shows the following rain data right before it gets reset at Hour=0, minute=2:
9/18 0.41 (Sun)
9/19 0.01 (Mon)
9/20 0.34 (Tue)
9/21 0.00 (Wed)
9/22 0.15 (Thu)
9/23 0.01 (Fri)
9/24 0.07 (Sat)
9/25 0.00 (Today)
I believe those values to be “true/right/proper”
Today, the last 7 Days Rainfall shows the “improper” value for Friday, but nothing for Saturday. This can be seen in Last 7- Sun.jpg file. I did not grab a screen shot of this on Saturday, but the upper box contained 0.051 and the label was “Friday 23/9”
Looking further at the 92011lg.txt file, it looks like my daily raintotal is getting reset at hour=0, minute=2 and again at hour=0, minute=59.
I have been running Weather-Display (10.37Q-b75) for about 2 weeks. The last time WD was restarted was 11 days ago.
Hopefully this a clue.
The truncated logfile in a csv textfile. I removed the non rainfall items to shrink it down.
You should be able to import into excel.

also, I suspect you do not have WD running all the time, and are instead downloading the data from the wmr200 every day?
if so, then that is the problem

WD runs 24x7. Equipment is a Davis VP2. I installed build 78 when you posted the 1st message. I now have the version that you linked to above. I have rain 0.33 inches today, so we should have good test tonight. I will let you know how it turns out. I am just glad we have something to chase.
