The Internet of Things refers to small devices other than general purpose computers with an Internet connection. In a home envirnment this would mean things like a Smart TV or Internet connected fridge. In the weather world this can include a wide variety of things, e.g. Arduino or Raspberry Pi systems with connected sensors, cameras or other specialist equipment which provide additional weather information or functions.
This board is for discussion of weather IoT concepts, e.g. how IoT might be used to obtain certain weather related data, what devices/sensors are suitable/available, how to use specific devices/sensors, etc.
There is a sub-board dedicated to the development and discussion of specific weather related IoT projects, i.e. the hardware/software build for a specific purpose. The idea being to provide sufficient details for others to follow the same route to build/extend the project for themselves.
