Installing Weather Display

1st time here. I have a La Crosse WS-3610 weather station. I use Heavy Weather Pro 3 and uplink to WUHU. Have been using program about 9 months.

I have tried 3 times to install Weather Display and view it on the # 2 computer which is on 24/7. I cannot get the data to communicate with the computer screen. I have read parts of the manual that is displayed on the screen. Once I get communication of data on the screen, I will print out the manual. Before I try again, I have a few questions.

Does the program work with the WS-3610 ?
Do I have to remove Heavy Weather and WUHU from the computer?
Can I leave them installed and just turn them off ?

Once I have things working, I plan on buying the software. Thanks

Bert

Welcome to the forum.

The 3610 works just fine with WD. I have one and am quite happy with it. I’m only doing this as a part-time hobby so I plan to forego the higher priced weather stations for a while as I have many other interests in addition to weather.

You cannot remove HW as WD depends on the history file. You should never run them at the same time, however.

Absolutely leave them installed just, as I said, don’t run them at the same time. After installing WD you don’t ever need to start HW again.

I did a quick search using “WS-3610” and it came up with THIS THREAD which may be of help. Lulu has already given some of the answers already though.

Welcome to WD & the forum by the way.

Thanks to both of you. I will try another reinstall. Thanks

Bert

to run WD with a 3600 station and not use heavy weather (and also turn of the other software), tick, to use the fetch3600 method in the weather station type setup
and then make sure the file, open3600.conf, (open with notepad.exe)the com port number is set there correctly
