This issue has happened many times over the year so not a WD64 bit issue
Today the power went out in my house while I was at work. When I came home I restarted WD. I pulled the missing data from the logger as it should.
There was rain today (.23 according to the VP console)
WD after it came up showed 38.71 for the year while Davis VP showed 38.51 - difference of .19 which is what WD showed as last hour. The total daily was .23
Easily corrected via WD.
Normally I have to correct monthly too but this time it seemed OK
Screen shot of WD before I modified rain total.
No big deal just mentioning it. Doesn’t happen every time but it has happened many times.
Said not recommended or not typically used. So may leave as is.
Btw I was watching your videos. I viewed on on changing rainfall amounts.
Your way vs how I do it is different. I go into control panel and click on rainfall offsets I believe it is - change month day year etc, hit set on each then OK
using the davis rain total is OK as long as you have the console rain totals correct, and you use the same reset time, and the console time/date is correct and
the console has batteries for back up if a power cut that are not flat
