maybe, if reading is 0.00 mm or in, at 3am, ignore first reading untill 8.30 am ??

I can’t remember where this is set.

How do this work. I have an email sent to me on the first rain of the day but it would be very nice if it could be set at .02 rather than .01. The .01 fires a lot because we get that much due many nights.

ignore the first rain is under setup, general and misc
the email of the first rain:ok, i will add a threshold amount it needs to get to

it does exactly that
(i.e if it was dew that had formed and which then gave a false rain reading)

So Brian does it in essence ignore the first tip or a certain amount?

first tip /first amount, what ever that amount is for the rain gauge
as it is now

Cool. That’s what I was needing. So I can check ignore first rain of the day and still keep the weather warning warn me when it starts to rain and it will wait until the second tip to send the mail right?

I’ve downloaded the latest version, and will wait and see ( no dew this morning, but a bit chilly, 8.8c !! )

Looks like its working !!
WeatherLink reported a tip after 3am, and WD still showing 0.00mm.
Others seeing the same thing ?

thats been an old bug, and it finally dawned on me why it was not working…I just had 1 line of code with some boolean logic the wrong way around!

well, its working as advertised…to not set the icon or to say its raining…
if you want the amount completly ignored, then thats different…

Is the Ignore First working or not? I have had a .04 rainfall the last 2 days at exactly 7am and have the option checked. Is there a way to go in and look to see if between midnight and 7AM there was another report of rain before the .04? I’m sure this is dew as the conditions here warrant dew and it seems to be at exactly the same time every morning…

I checked it out last week and it was working, but it won’t work in Weather Warnings( first rain of the day ) and in trends (consecutive days with no rain) .

We are due any rain for a few days here so i will wrap up the bucket to see if the problem goes away. It always happens after midnight and before 7am so i’m thinking its dew. I will disconnect the bucket one day too and see what happens.

i see the reason now for both those issues cyclone, and have fixed that
it will be OK for version after 10.17m
