Whats the deal with the snap freeze of the centre of the LOW pressure cell? Does that realy happen or is the just another story line plot to make people go “oooooo”?

I suspect more of the smelly stuff. That was supposedly at the centre of a gigantic hurricane, except that hurricanes do not form over land.
To quote Dr Bob Sheets (no idea where he’s from) “Hurricanes draw their power from warm, extremely humid air found only over warm oceans.”
So that kind knocks the whole thing on the head really. :?
and the other thing…why did the cold air come down the chimney of the fire place there were using…and put the fire out and kill them all?
(i mean it made it all the way through umpteen dozen corridoors to and doorways to freeze solid the doorway to the room they were in!
also, as the oceans developed a ice sheet on them,the ocean levels would have dropped…not risen…in NY?
Yes, the travelling freeze was pure fantasy all right.
As for the ocean levels, water expands as it gets to freezing point (as anybody who has left a bottle of beer in the freezer will atest to :oops: ) so I would have expected the levels to rise. But hey this was America, and NY to boot. :roll:
ah,but during the last ice age, the sea level was much lower…that it is now…
but that would have happened once there was large areas of ocean turned into ice caps (would take a while)
the other boobo was the typhoon in australia…they are called cyclones in australia.,…but thats picking hairs…as they are all the same thing, LOL
