How to make a weather website

Hi I need help. How where and what do I need to create my own website. I have a Vantage pro and would like to create my own website. Please help anyone if you can. Thank you

There are quite a few threads about this on the forum but the basics are:

  1. You need a host - someone who supplies the server space to host your website. I use Virtual Names who are based in Marriott and have all the resources you’ll need for

They charge you bandwidth for uploading? 8O
No wonder you need so much.

At the moment I have a total of 800mb of space available on a couple of accounts and for three websites I’m only using 319mb.
If the amount of content increases then so does the allocation of server space, up to a max of 1.5GB for the Standard hosting package.

I’ve been with Virtual Names since 2000, their server up time a excellent as is the support service. They may not be the cheapest or give the highest amount of bandwidth or server space but there are no extras to add like PHP, MySQL or SSI like some hosts, it’s all included.

I see. That seems a lot fairer actually, not charging for FTP that is.
Sounds like you’ve got a good deal.

Ok so I now have a domain with VirtualNames. Just got to wait for it to be completed. Now what do I need. Thank you for your help by the way

Finally got it up and running. Thank you for your help. Check it out www.cornish-weather.co.uk

Nice template.
Now you can begin the fun job/hobby of customising it!
