How to delete bad data from sensor failure

I hope I have posted this in the right place!

My Tempest weather station failed towards the end of June. As you can see from my PWS_Dashboard site the historical data from around that time is useless, and is reflected on both Weather Underground and Weatherflow’s servers: -

When Weatherflow replaced my Tempest they refused to delete the data, and I do not believe it can be deleted from WU either. Is there a possibility to delete data between two dates from the PWS_Dashboard data files?

Please consider whether your post should go in another category before posting here, e.g. PWS Dashboard, WxSim or Weather Display for Windows. A full list of categories can be found here - Categories - Weather-Watch Forum

There is a support script to modify the data.
There has been a script to delete days, but that get lost with a cascade failure of my home computer-backup.
Maybe some good soul still has that version of the _wu_upd.php script.

To update: First make a backup of the wudata folder and store it off-line

Run a small program . . ./pwsWD/_wu_upd.php
It will ask for the easyweathersettings password
After that you get a full list of all years of wu-data as stored on your website.
Click a year and you get all days available.
You can change the values of that day.

I will adapt that script to make deletes possible, but that will be end of august.

I think this is the file you are looking for.
_wu_upd.php.txt (14.8 KB)

I did ask about that once, and you said:

Thanks, but that is the one which is in the normal download.
That version can not delete a whole bunch or rows
Only set 1 day to no values, which more or less is a delete also.
In the graphs the empty period will be more or less visible when the days are empty, I think

Wim

Any idea when the other version would have been?

LATER EDIT: I don’t think I have one, all mine are |01|2021-05-13| or |01|2021-05-15| too.

Thanks for these replies. I managed to fix the summary blocks by editing the data using …/pwsWD/PWS_hist_update.php?pw=password

I will wait to see if someone has the _wu_upd.php you mentioned, or wait until you have updated the script in a few weeks.

Best wishes,

Simon
