Hello all.
is it possible to delay the start of WD by a few seconds in order for another application to start before.
Thanks.

Your best bet is probably to use a startup manager program like this one http://www.fgroupsoft.com/Absolutestartup/index.html I haven’t tried this one but it does offer “start after delay”. There are surely many different ones out there.
interesting
maybe i could make a weather display launcher,…i,.e it starts wd after say 1 minute…i,e you set that program to be in the your windows start up…
I never understand why the start up programs don’t always start in the same order or end up in the same positions in the tray. I thought of suggesting to start WD from a batch file, it would be easy to have a delay that way, but it wouldn’t guarantee what lehautfourneau wants which is to have a specific start up sequence.
This sounds like a good idea.
Sometimes on a reboot, my data stays blank on main screen and a reboot fixes it.
I think because of conflicts with other starting programs.
Cheers

WD launcher would be great. Thanks.
Hello Brian. Did you have the opportunity to work on a startup manager with different delay (and also adjustable delay’s) beeing applied to any software starting when you start windows?
i have now created a wd dealy launcher (it starts minimised, just bring it up from the tray to set the start delay interval)
have it running from where you have wd intalled
and you can have it ticked to start when wd starts, or set a short cut to it from your windows start up folder
download from here:
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdstartdelay.exe
is this still available ?
Should be .zip not .exe http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/wdstartdelay.zip
Below is what I made up for my batch file. The Sleep causes the delay depeneding on how its called up.
Here’s my delayed start batch file.
