How to close year 2007?

I was out when 2007 ended, unfortunately Wd/Windows just hanged the last days of 2007, and I could revive it the 4th of 2008. The result is that I am still having the rain accumulation of 2007 plus the one that fell this month. How can I close the year 2007 so everything is reset for 2008?

Hi
for the rain:
control panel, barometer offset and rainfall setup
and then set totals to zero there
then aslo go action, reset selected all time records
and click on reset all for year to date and month to date
