I’ve entered Caithness Weather into this RBS CommunityForce Award Project
I know we don’t stand a chance in hell at the moment, but if any of you guys would like to vote for us when the voting starts on 26th September we would really appreciate it.
I’ve put a lot of blurb on my facebook page here Redirecting...
and this is where their blurb is and i assume where voting will be possible when it opens http://communityforce.rbs.co.uk/project/765
there’s more blurb on the main Caithness Weather website at http://www.tugmistress.co.uk
Great community testimonials there!! And a higely interesting study through the schools setting up their own weather stations as well as you 6 or 7 sites you run!! Good, well respected forecasting too.
Thanks
It’s taken quite a bit of hard work and lots of frustration (probably including poor windy here too lol) to get everything as it is at the moment, the schools project is the only one of it’s kind in the UK from what the met office have said and they have also requested the end of year data for their boffins to digest
In the slang of the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, boffins are scientists, medical doctors, engineers, and other people engaged in technical or scientific research.
Boffin is a British slang term for a scientist. It may also refer to:
- Boffin (computer game), computer platform game for the Acorn Electron and BBC Micro systems
- Boffin (hobbit family), fictional hobbit family in The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
- Boffin, nickname given by the Royal Navy during World War II to the Mark V[disambiguation needed] mountings for the Oerlikon 20 mm cannons up-gunned with the Bofors 40 mm gun
- Boffin, variant spelling of the Welsh family name Baughan
I’m left puzzled about which one is dangerous in the US?
OK Folks, the voting is now open
If you would care to register (free) you get three votes to use as you see fit.
If you could see your way to voting for Caithness Weather then I would really appreciate it
