Can somebody please briefly explain to me the relevance of the above 3 temperatures. In particular defining what they are, for the purposes of displaying them in WDL. I thought I had a handle on Humidex until I saw Apparent. #-o
Heat index and humidex are alternative calculations both using temperature and humidity
Apparent temp uses temperature, humidity and wind
Apparent temp solar uses temperature, humidity, wind, and solar
Wind Chill uses temperature and wind
Old thread here http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/4264
Apparent temp uses temperature, humidity and wind Apparent temp solar uses temperature, humidity, wind, and solar
So which of these is displayed in WDL as Apparent. I can’t see a choice.
Hi,
Right now the sun is still shining and WDL is showing the apparent temp solar. Once the sun goes down, the apparent temp solar will disappear from WDisplay and only the apparent temp will appear. WDL will then report apparent temp. Looks like no choice to be made.

Ah hah. Excellent - thanks.
Which then is more accurate from the “how a person feels” perspective. To me it looks like apparent as that takes into account wind/solar.
