My Hobby Boards UV sensor’s readings keep creeping upwards. I already subtract 1.5 units from the reading, but it’s back up to showing a UVI of 0.5 at midnight.
Is the sensor deteriorating? Is the temperature compensation not calibrated correctly? Has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed that the overnight UV readings were getting lower again. Hmm, he said, temperatures are getting warmer.
I went back through my records for the past few weeks looking for correlations between the night-time UV reading and the temperature. There is a very definite correlation. Colder temperatures produce higher readings.
So, perhaps the temperature compensation needs to be reprogrammed. I know that there is some user-settable temperature compensation. I’d have to read up on what, if anything, I can do to adjust this.
