It must be hard drive crash week. I woke up yesterday, turned my PC on and the SSD that contains my C: drive was missing. BIOS couldn’t see it but the motherboard/SATA ports were fine I’ve ‘upgraded’ it today (32GB to 100GB) and the new device works fine. My backup went straight back on and I was up and running within 15 minutes of getting home. For anyone not running backups…just think what you’d have lost!
Some good news is that the dead (Corsair) SSD has a 3 year warranty and I now have an RMA for it so I can send it back for a replacement.
Hi Brian,
email sent to you, again thanks.
Chris, not only did the hard drive fry, the back up PC I have/ had the PSU blow up as soon as I turned it on,
not the most pleasant smell in the world :sad3:
as you say about backing up files, I upload all log/data to my website, good to have a backup
