Looking for settings to allow FTPUDP to run with the Outpost firewall under the ‘Rules Wizard’ policy. I’ve enabled the passive ftp portion inside of Weather Display and set FTPUDP to an always trusted app. And still Outpost refuses to allow FTPUDP under the ‘Rules Wizard’ policy, any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm using the Outpost Pro 30-day trial version and have 21 days left on the trial version. As they have a Christmas special for lifetime upgrades for free which looks good to me @ http://www.agnitum.com/christmas.html
Does it give any reasons for blocking it, e.g. a particular port or protocol that’s blocked? Part of the trouble with ‘consumer’ firewalls is that they’re reasonably good most of the time, but if you want to do anything a little unusual that the developers didn’t think you’d want to do it’s not always easy to configure them properly or get detailed reports of why things are being rejected. I don’t know Outpost though, so perhaps that’s not true in this case.
