FTP problems with Build 74

Hi,
I have problems with Build 74, Clientraw files are sent as they should,
but the other files, (which will be sent every 5 minutes) just sent up a few times then it will stop.
The FTP log shows this (see attached image). when it happens.

As soon as I go back to Build 69, so is everything ok again.

there have been no changes to the cronftp program or cronftpreal program
(you can check the dates on those files)

try removing the snowdayscount tag
which I put WD back to reading in the lg2.txt file
which seems to cause this file permissions/open file problem and stops the ftp

Hi,
download Build 76 and with that version, it seems to work as it should again.

Edit: It also happens to Build 76 here?
Edit2:Has been running FTP: n, then I shifted moonicon.jpg against the one I had on the server.
Probably something with the image I had, but with Build 69, this did not happen?

Same here, build 74 log is full of those errors…

I also had the same error message regarding the moonicon.jpg using build 76, enough so that it eventually caused the ftp to stop. I remember this moonicon.jpg was an issue about a year or so ago. For now I made sure that File#32 was turned off, since I don’t believe I use it anyway and removed the moonicon.jpg from the webfiles folder and the error messages stopped. The only error message I get now is one referring to the climatedataout.html not being available (http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/378601). The file uploads ok but I still get this error message.

For now I made sure that File#32 was turned off
I have never used file #32, and it is off. Yet, this happens all the time here.

Edit:I try now to turn it on, and upload it.
We’ll see how it goes.

Then it seems that removing it from the webfiles folder may be helpful. I also ended up going into the wdisplayftp.ini file and removed it from the upload list.

As I said, I have never used file 32, and it is not in my wdisplayftp.ini
(the few times I change a setting, I do it manually there).
Bertil

Is the moonicon.jpg in your webfiles folder? If so, try removing it from there and see if that helps.

I did, many times this morning, with the same result.
All other FTP upload stops (without clientraw).
Now it has worked for 45 minutes. Then I hit, and started uploading the file, 32nd ('ll see how long it works).
Bertil

Yeah, now I’m beginning to get .ini failures - see screen shot

After two hours of FTP uploads, it starts to mess up again.
I will now go to build 69 again.

I have not changed any code to do with moonicon.jpg

best to stick with build 69 then

I just know that when I’m using Build 69, so everything works for weeks on end, without any fault at all.
When I switch to Build 74 or 76 so it works for a while, then stop FTP uploads, (clientraw files works).
FTP log shows that the files have been loaded. But they have not.

Application Event log shows the error on moonicon.jpg

If I go back to Build 69, then loaded the files up again. Without me making any other changes.

I agree with Bertil. Build 69 is most stable with regards to uploads and uptime.

Builds 74 and 76, while having compiler upgrades that greatly improved the responsiveness of working within WD and fixes some items brought forward over the past several months, it has become unstable with the realtime ftp process just plain quitting. Even though it indicates it is working the uploads do not occur. When I look at the Activity Monitor it shows cronftpreal just sitting there, no cpu use evident and the realtime updates have stopped. Looking at the candoftprealcount.inf file in the webfiles folder shows that it is updating and you can see the candoftpreal.txt appear then disappear every 5 seconds or so. A look at the Program error Log only reveals a message pertaining to the climatedataout.html file (which has been there for several builds now). Only a restart of WD gets the cronftpreal going again, and then not for more than a couple of hours at a time. Unfortunately I must go back to build 69 for the moment.

Update:: Now using build 77 and it is working just fine.
