I’m using ipage to host my site but I can’t ftp to it with Weather Display 10.37S134 software. He is the error in my ftp log file:
Logging onto FTP server… ftp.oldwhitehillweather.com
11001: [11001] Host not found
Aprs error count= 1
Trying next server
Connecting to FTP server at :21.
102: The RemoteHost address is invalid (0.0.0.0).
Doing abort procedure/program close
Filezilla works fine. Any ideas?
Thanks

Can you login to your host via Filezilla FTP? It could be because your ftp server requires an IP address (e.g. 123.123.123.123) to transfer files via ftp
Yes FileZilla works fine.
Also my Weather Display doesn’t update the htm file unless I tell it to.
Thanks
Any ideas on this problem?
is your firewall allowing the WD ftp program to access the internet
Yes. But that doesn’t explain why it’s not updating the htm file to upload.
Thanks
You need to check the Control Panel/FTP & Connections the Connections tab and there it should have the web address of your web page and the user/password to use for FTP. Make sure this is correct. The Main Internet switch is on there as well, make sure it is ON.
Stuart
Yes. I already checked all those.
Ed,
Attach a screenshot of your FTP settings in WD
I have attached a screen shot. Hope it helps.
One more thought I sometimes see an issue with Windows networking and the sockets used by WD and the only way out is a reboot of Windows. Have you rebooted?
Stuart
Hi in the screenshoot your missing the FTP directory path (see screenshot)
BTrip
This is only needed if you use sub directories, if you only use the root leave it blank. I have min blank and it works fine.
Stuart
Most of the time, the /public_html/ or “/” are used for root on ipage
what is used is host dependant
I’m not using APRS. I’m trying to upload to the root. No subdirectories.
is there anything in the ftp logs that gives you any hints?
Since your log shows from your original post
Logging onto FTP server.... ftp.oldwhitehillweather.com
11001: [11001] Host not found
Aprs error count= 1 <============

this implies APRS is involved. On the CWOP control panel is the only place AFAIK that references APRS in WD. Now are you sending to CWOP? If so as a test make sure the main switch on that panel is OFF,
if that fixes it you need to investigate why it is trying to use APRS, if not sending to CWOP just leave it off.
Stuart
You need to help us help you. Provide more information, screenshots, logs, etc. Were you ever able to upload through WD at any time in the past? Did you just switch to a different host? What changed?
