Whilst not a problem with WDL or WD I am experiencing an intermittent problem with uploading clientraw.txt. I have it set to upload every five seconds. Every now and again - once a week say, I get an FTP 10057 error - Socket is not connected. The connection is forced to disconnect and it then resets several times. This then continues for varying times from about 12 hours to 30 minutes. It will eventually sort itself out but I usually have to manually stop and restart the upload.
I guess that what is happening is a conflict with the other FTP data uploading at various times with FTPUPD. I am using the latest version of the WDL ftp program. I am operating in passive mode.
Thanks for the reply -sorry I am using version 3.2 of the ftp program not 3.3. I thought about changing to ‘restart’ rather than reset, but was not sure of the difference between the two. I’ll give it a go and see what happens. I could try v3.3 of the FTP prog too. A few things to try tomorrow!
I posted the same error under WD with realftpclient upload 3.3
under topic WD19 => ftp 3.3 hangs
ticking on restart instead of re login does the trick
It seems to be stable now …
