I noticed yesterday most of the live data on my website stopped uploading.
WD is opening 6 or more WD FTP at a time and not closing them.
RT FTP reports that a connection is is in progress and the remote host can not be changed at this time.
I have spoken to the server people and they say that everyting is OK at there end si it must be my FTP software.
I have checked all settings now a million times and all seems to be OK (nothing has changed since 1st setup anyway)
I have just installed the latest WD and that made no differance.
Normally RT FTP runs all the time, the other one (RED) WD FTP uploads it files and then stops and a few moments later starts again but at the moment there are loads open and none of them are doing anything.
My first thought would be do you have a firewall blocking the FTP transfer? This can happen if you have recently upgraded and not responded to a firewall request to allow access for an updated program.
Just completly removed WD and re-installed it but it still will not upload properly.
It still says “can not change the remotehost at this time as another connesction is in progress” that is RTFTP (yellow box) The WDFTP (red box) seems to hang at the end and does not finish, then another one starts or tries to start then another etc
I had a similar problem with files on a hosted server last year…It was as though they had become a read-only file and couldn’t be overwritten…Have you looked at the files in question on the server and looked at their attributes…maybe delete, or see if you can overwrite them via another FTP prog…My host said there was nothing wrong at their end, but strangely it all came good after a 2nd phonecall to them…Something about the Windows front-end/Frontpage support side having gone wrong!
Looks like you are missing the weather station name entry, that’s Control Panel, WebFiles/WebPage, Web Files Setup #1, Weather Station filename.

What’s funny is that this same file appears to have been uploaded without renaming:
So try unchecking the file rename option, and also try munro’s suggestion, or just use an FTP client to delete the files on the server and start fresh.
first, no need to uninstall wd and re install
(what did you do there anyway exactly?)
first, try resetting/reselecting the web files location and clientraw location in the web files/web page setup
also you need to increase the overall time out in the connections setup too by the looks
also try ticking use passive mode in the connections setup as sometimes FTP servers change (even though they say no changes on their end) and you need to have that set
also yes try not using file rename
(and unset those same settings in the real time ftp setup )
and also close and restart the separate realtimeftp program
Excellent news… :)That was the same as my experience, as I said above…2nd phone call with the evidence and …what a surprise it all began to work as if by magic…
