…AN UPDATE TO THE FORECAST WILL BE COMING:

DISCUSSION:
AREA RADARS SHOW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE OFF TO AN EARLY START
ALONG THE SOUTH LOUISIANA AND UPPER TEXAS COASTS. THIS CONVECTION
IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND GRADUALLY SPREAD NORTHWARD
DURING THE AFTERNOON AS A WEAK UPPER LOW SPINS OVER EAST TEXAS.
INCREASED MOISTURE WAS ALSO SEEN IN THE AIRMASS OVER OUR AREA THIS
MORNING. OUR MORNING SOUNDING SHOWED A PRECIPITABLE WATER ALMOST 2
INCHES…WITH JACKSON`S SOUNDING AROUND 2.10 INCHES.

INGESTING ALL OF THIS…THE GREATEST COVERAGE OF SHOWERS AND STORMS
THIS AFTERNOON WILL LIKELY BE OVER EASTERN AND SOUTHERN AREAS. I
HAVE DECIDED TO INCREASE PROBABILITIES IN THESE AREAS. THE
REMAINDER OF THE FORECAST APPEARS TO BE ON TRACK…WITH NO FURTHER
CHANGES MADE AT THIS TIME.

I think they mean they are going to issue text updates based on revised forecasts, not change the method (or basic format) of the text products … just the contents updated to reflect the change in the forecasts.

Ken is correct. National format changes would not originate from the local office. The updated suite most likely refers to an updated zone forecast.
