Froggit WH3000/Froggit WH3500/Froggit WH3600/Sainlogic WS3500

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up a Sainlogic WS3500. It seems this station is branded in many different ways as Froggit WH3000/Froggit WH3500/Froggit WH3600/Sainlogic WS3500. So have I have connected it to the wifi network and I can ping it but have been unable so far to show any data on weather display.

Has anyone been able to do so?. If that is the case, please share.

Best regards.

You can not attach a “Sainlogic WS3500” directly to WD.

Either add a GW1000 (= Froggit DP1500) to your setup. This is a “glassless console” but it has an local-API so WD can read the data

Or use the Ecowitt API in WD to read the data your station is uploading to ecowitt.net

Hello Wim,

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

Can you please share which is the best way to go?. My guess is, with the additional hardware, data frequency will be higher.

Thanks again!

Yes a GW2000 or GW1100 will give much better resolution for data collection. The data uploaded to Ecowitt can be used to fill in for any outages on WD, assuming its not a power cut!

Hello,

Thank you so much for sharing!. I have not seen these data loggers, extract wind data. Can someone please share if that is right?.

Thanks everyone again.

A GW2000/GW1x00 will receive the data from all “ecowitt sensors”, including the wind-sensor in your 7-in-1 outside array.

If you want you can also add separate wind-sensor which will be read and used then.
And any other compatible sensor such as PM, soil-moisture a.s.o.
All data can be viewed in the WSView-plus app including future extra sensors which will not be visible on your Sainlogic console.
WD will fetch the data from the GW2000/GW1x00 and processes it as coming from 1 station.
