Hello,
I’m running WD 10.34.r and using the Carter Lake templates. Recently I’m getting a freeze advisory warning on my main page, and when I click on the warning, I get a freeze advisory page dated March 23, 2005.
Our temps in this part of Texas are running in the upper 80’s or better with lows in the 60’s. The chance of an actual freeze happening here at this time of year is pretty slim. We’ll see gas prices under $2.00 a gallon before we get a freeze at this time of the year.
Where does WD get the old freeze advisory from? It appears randomly and I’m wondering what’s causing it to keep pulling up the old freeze warning over and over. Any ideas how to correct the problem?
Thanks
hi
are you using wd’s noaawarning.exe program to generate the raw warnings files used?
If that’s done automatically by WD, then yes. If it is something I need to configure, then probably not. Is this some setting I need to check in the WD configuration? Most of the time I get the correct advisories, like fire danger, high winds, thunderstorms. The freeze warning just keeps popping up at least once a week.
When I look at the NOAA warning setup page in WD, it looks correct but in th window where you set the zone you want to use for your advisories, there is a “#” in front of the actual zone which is TXZ131. I read the FAQ and it showed the “#” in front of the example zone. Is that correct? What is the function of the leading “#” ?
When I removed the “#” in front of my zone and restarted WD, the NOAA warning setup page says there are no active watches, wanrings, or advisories. Is the “#” required?
Hi
you should have the zone and state set like this screen shot (note also make sure you are using the latest noaawarning.exe program (which verison of WD are you using?)
