I’m down in the thumb pit of NY, right along the lake shore, between Rochester and Oswego. This year hasn’t been near as bad as last year… yet, but there is a hint of wood smoke in the air.
Nothing would burn here this year. Grey skies, rain, wind and temperatures rarely above 20C.
No, I don’t think we’ve had warnings since end of April (https://www.firescotland.gov.uk/news/risk-of-wildfire-is-very-high-in-the-south-and-west-of-scotland/) / early May (Extreme wildfire warning issued after Highland blaze - BBC News).
