Perfect, I found the updated translation file there. Now I have to find out why the WXSIM EWN script fails me with accented characters and the letter that is characteristic of my language, that is, the ñ.

There must be some kind of character conversion…

No problem with that file.
I replaced the .es file which was the renamed .nl language file.

See attched screenshot all works OK including mañana
If there are still problems it could be in you r setup somewhere

OR
you are maybe editing script files with a document editor.
You should always use a decent script/program editor as tools like Microsoft-Word add all kind of hidden texts inside the scripts.

For windows use notepad++
For Mac use BBedit

But never ever use MS-Word or MS-notepad
If you do, throw away the edited file and start from a fresh copy
One can not see the hidden extras inserted by document editors.

Yes, that same warning was given to me months ago by Ken, I use Visual Studio Code with iso-8859 encoding.

Well, it doesn’t quite work for me, if I put

It doesn’t work anymore. I’ll try to investigate…

Your site is UTF-8 not iso-8859

your webserver defaults to utf-8
So if you want another encoding you have to add that to all html pages.

But for now i see no advantage to go back 10 years of more to iso-8859

I can’t tell you Wim, it was a recommendation and I followed it. I’m afraid that if I change the encoding in the editor again it will cause the old translations to fail. I have to work on this to see how I can resolve it, but I’m sure there is a solution.

Dear Wim

I understand now, it’s hard but I can do it. I open the translation file that I download from the saratoga website with an editor, for example notepad++, and I convert it to UTF-8 and the script works.

Since I think all the files are made with ISO8859-1, I think it would be foolhardy to make the change to all the scripts.

Maybe I’ll create an exclusive translation in UTF-8 format for the WXSIM EWN prediction.

Do you think that’s correct?
