Error with Barometric Graph

Good morning all.

I have just discovered that has been displaying for the last couple of days an anomaly with the barometric graph on not only my FreshWDL but on others as well.

On any weather station page if you hold your mouse over a point in the embedded graph over the barometer’s last 24 hours the graph pop up is displaying the incorrect pressure rate (significant difference) even though the graph line to the side numbers is showing the correct rate.

However, if you click the graphs button and look at the 7 day or 24 hour graphs and go to a point on that graph it reads correctly. Once you do this, close that box down, then go back to the graph embedded on the page it corrects itself until u either refresh the page or revisit the page.

This issue only affects the barometric graph and none of the others.

I hope this makes sense.

Confirmed: the pop-up labels to the 24-hour baro graph on the main page actually show the wrong dates as well as the wrong pressures, while the actual graph values are correct for the last 24 hours.

Thankyou Bitsostring for picking up on the date I checked on that as well and the date is Oct 27 for this side of the world and Oct 26 for the other side  so it appears this issue is affecting everyone in one way or another.

Pop-up dates run from 3-26 October on my 24-hour graph 8O

I’m not sure I’m quite understanding what the issue is, sorry!
Could one of you drop a link to your site, or some screenshots, or something like that?

Thanks!

site is fairfielweather.info

Yerren your website is displaying the same thing with the Oct 27 date and incorrect figure

Hi Yerren,

I have the same problem.

Call up the page and the Barometer graph is for 24 hours, but it has the “Tooltips” for the 31 day Barometer graph.

Click on the Graph and the popup 24hr Barometer Graph is correct. Calling up the Popup fixes the “Tooltips” on the Main screen 24hr Barometer Graph.

Highcharts brought out a new version a few days ago, this may be related.

Hi Dave

Really impressed with your background on your page.

Would you mind if I changed mine with that background as well ??? it really makes everything stand out nice and clear.

Regards

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

The problem with changing the background is that some words on the page are the same color as the background.

I had to have a local copy of one JS Module to change the color of the words “Beaufort Scale.” They could not be seen on a blue background.

Dave

Just checked mine FreshWDL and exhibits the same problem as described by Dave

Also confirmed here on my site.

https://www.ndtech.org/weather/

The date range shown when hovering is Oct 05 to Oct 28

Ian

It appears it is retrieving data that is from 8 days ago and the 8 days rolls over as each new day comes along

The attached pics is what has just happened. I noticed it done this over a week ago as well and wonder if it ties in with the barometer displaying incorrect info

Its only the 24hr graphs that are incorrect. The graphs in WD are all showing correctly.

Hi all,

I think the issue is almost certainly being caused by something on the FreshWDL side of things. I’ve had a similar problem in the past, and thought I’d fixed it for good, but apparently not. #-o
Thanks for spotting this, I’ll try take a look over the weekend if I have time!

Hi Yerren

Not sure if this will assist you when you get around to it but what I have also noticed on the barometric graph is when you move the mouse backwards on each point in the graph it goes back 1 full day (24hr increment) rather than 1 hourly increments that it should.

bump

Yerren is aware of the problem however is very busy and cant get to it for a couple of months (msg that was sent to me beginning of December)

Thanks for update

Thank you for keeping everyone updated!

It was an annoying bug to fix, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got it now
As always, you’ll probably need to ctrl+F5 to clear the browser cache if you want to see the results straight away. You’ll know it’s updated if the version is 1.1.8.6 (as opposed to 1.1.8.5).

Thanks, Yerren, it’s looking good.
