Hi all
Does anyone know how to change the rain event, as lately i have been getting really weird readings from rain, for example 153mm, 140mm when i think its a lot lot less than that, there is a screenshot below to help.
I have also posted on wxforum to see if anyone knows a solution
Yes what you found on the other forum is what I knew. Rain events can span days.

I don’t think you can change it. . .
Davis has something similar, i.e. rain during a ‘storm event’. They have a different view of what a storm is. If I recall correctly an event starts after 0.5mm of rain has fallen and it continues until there’s been 24 hours without any measured rain. Maybe some people find it useful but I’ve never really understood what it’s really telling me.

I going to have to find out if the sensor is faulty as according to the wittboy we had 110.6 mm of rain since midnight !! WOW
Is that 110.6 mm in Rain Day or Rain Event?
Here’s my Rain this morning:
No Rain Day or Rain Week (new week today) but Rain Event shows the sum of last two days’ rain.

I think that i might be getting it wrong, and will look further as I really dont think that we had had this much rain lately
@swright1957 Can we just clear something up here? Where exactly are you seeing this information including rain event? Is it in the crongw1000 output? I’m just trying to ascertain whether this is wrong from the gateway and not an error within WD.
As I don’t have a WS90 I don’t see the rain event in the crongw1000 output however I have a PHP script which interrogates the gateway directly and pulls the data and parses it to display on a local webpage. I do see the rain event data in there both in live sensor data and rain data (two separate commands to the gateway). Currently that shows correctly zero for me but I have a WS40 rain gauge.

Ok its on the daily rainfall either on the app, website or ecowitt app.
I have changed the daily rainfall today to 0.5mm as that was the amount of ain overnight in my rain measure that i have setup. As of 7am this morning it was showing daily rainfall of 110.9mm.
I did check your site just as a comparison to see how much you had overnight etc.
I have just remembered that added something to WD about a week or more ago, so perhaps its picking it up twice, so I have removed the API from wd and just running on the ecowitt upload now.
