Is there a way to have WD create dummy data? Maybe keep making data the same as it would be normally getting it from my VP +2. I’m working on a weather website on a raspberry pi and I don’t want to interrupt my working setup.

WD doesn’t create it’s own data, it needs to be fed the data from somewhere.
What you can do is create a second copy of the clientraw file and specify the directory you want it save too or, you can have WD send the clientraw file to a second FTP location (website or directory). These settings are all under Control Panel > Web Files/Web Page Setup > Real Time Client FTP.
Failing that, you could start a second instance of WD and have your active WD as the Server and the second instance as the Client. Then you can feed the live data to the Client and set it up how you want to feed data, files & images to your RPI based website.
Server/Client setup is under Control Panel > FTP & Connections > TCP/IP Client/Server.
P.S. As this is about WD itself, I’ve moved the thread to the correct board to get better exposure.
Thank you

What is the cheapest weather station that works well with WD? I think this will be the best solution for me.

Didn’t, at one time, WD could use Wounderground data?

As far as I know WD can download data that you’ve uploaded to Wunderground. I think you can also get a second copy of WD to update itself from another copy that is reading a weather station. I’ve not looked but you should find some relevant posts using forum Search.
I was thinking that nearby METAR data could be read?
