Davis WeatherLink Live

I am finally getting around to setting up my Vantage Pro2+
I would like to use WeatherLink Live to interface to Weather Display to avoid the USB problems and be able to put the Solar/UV sensors on the anemometer transmitter.

  • Can you set WLL up without creating a Davis WeatherLink.com account?
  • Can it be set to NOT upload to WeatherLink.com?
  • Does it HAVE to connect to WeatherLink.com to be able to talk to Weather Display? That is, if I put them both in a wired subnet that does not have internet access, will that keep WLL from talking to WD?
  • If I let it upload to WeatherLink.com and make my station public, is my account name visible to visitors? (If I use my ham call for an account name, people will be able to look up my street address.)

Thanks,
Steve

WD can get the data from your WLL via your WIFI via UDP data
you do not need to have it set to upload to weatherlink.com etc

not sure about the last Q, someone else could answer that

Hi, no, the weather station is the name that’s shown publicly, not the username nor your own personal name
