I received a LaCrosse 2310 for Xmas and it had problems that couldnt be resolved by tech support so I returned it and am now looking at buying the Davis VP2 wireless station instead. here’s my big question:
I fulltime in an RV and need to keep an eye on the weather (for obvious reasons (severe storms and changes).
Should not be a problem, my VP is surrounded by 802.11b wireless networking and it doesn’t appear to be an issue. Is your coach plastic? A nice shiny aluminum airstream might be a problem.
My guess is that you won’t have a problem. The frequencies are far apart, 900MHz versus 2.4GHz, but the close proximity to each other could cause problems. I don’t think you will know for sure until you test the setup.
BTW, I know of another couple who RV full time. Sure sounds like fun. Here’s a link for you to check out: http://www.rvinteractive.com/rvguys/webCam.htm
I found their site while researching the StarDot webcam.
Just curious, why do you need wireless VP in an RV?
