Hi,
I want to connect my Davis VP2 with serial data logger to my server. Only hiccup is that the console with data logger is in the house, and the server is in the basement.
I was intending to run shielded CAT5 cable through the wall and floor to reduce risk of interference rather than the four core ribbon cable that comes as standard.
I’ve used a multimeter to test the pin mappings, but was hoping that someone else could confirm that what I’ve tested is correct - see attached jpg.
I’m sure I’m not the first person to do this, but I can’t find any posts that provide these details.
