Davis & Mac setup

I use a MacBook Pro running Ventura.
The weather system is a Davis Vantage Pro going through a Davis Envoy 6316. No Davis stand alone unit.
Data logger from the Envoy goes into my wireless router. Right now I can’t get Davis’s Mac software to run on my laptop. With a previous Mac I had Windows installed and could run their software on the Windows side. I don’t have that now so read the station data via their web weatherlink.

I was hoping to get more real time data using Weather Display so I purchased it via the Apple Web store.

I can’t get data into Weather Display.
I know the IP of the Davis unit going into my router.
I know the port number which is 80. I found this through some networking software on my phone. I have this typed in on the ‘comm port’ page but for port I’ve also tried the 22224 that was there when I first opened the page.

Nothing I’ve tried is working with my setup. Is it even possible for me to even use Weather Display with my particular setup. IE data goes straight to the wireless router. You would think Weather Display’s software would work with Ventura since it’s on the Mac app store.
Sooooo help…thanks

I’ve dug a bit further with some network mapping software that I have.
The Davis data logger that plugs into the router is using 22222 for a port.
Changing the comm port to that number still doesn’t do it.

Now the interesting part. I’m also trying a different weather display called Weather Tracker. They give the option of a Weatherlink IP static. If I plug the IP and port number 22222 into that it works gathering data from my system. I do like the looks of Weather Display much better so I guess I’ll need to keep banging my head against the wall to make it work…if possible.

show us a screen grab of your station setup in WD

have you tried this?

I got it working. So it does work with Ventura.
I ended up uninstalling the program, reinstalled and reentered everything. It worked after that. Not sure what I had wrong but anyway it’s doing what it’s supposed to do.

The only annoying thing is when it updates itself I get the little spinning wheel which makes it hard to click on the menus et cetera. I’m not sure if there’s something I can do to smooth that out but will dive through the menus later.
