Davis Air Quality Sensor vs PurpleAir Sensor

I have both a PurpleAir and a Davis air quality sensor installed outside about 6 inches apart under my front porch roof.

I did have some flaky readings from the PurpleAir sensor for about a day when the AQI readings were jumping up and down for a couple of hours between a normal reading and a AQI of 500. I sprayed the PurpleAir sensor with a can of compressed air and I haven’t had any problems with it since.

I have pre ordered a Davis Air Quality sensor, but it will be towards the end of October before its available here I suspect

Very nice, the data correlate quite well. How do you get the 24h and 60min averages for the AQI? Do you calculate them in a script?

Yes, the script calculates the AQI numbers based on the PM2.5 readings.

Did you notice any issue with the IP assignment? Mine changes the IP address every one day. Do you have it set manually (“Advanced Setup”)? I tried but my network settings were obviously wrong so I had to stay with automatic.

I have had no problem with the IP address changing.
