Daily NOAA reports as txt

Hi Folks!

Is it possible to make produce txt-files os NOAA daily reports,dailynoaareport.htm, (as automatic, produce/upload :wink:) or have I to copy/paste them from average/records-tab?

you can set to create and upload the dailynoaareport.htm file
see under view, averages/extremes, 2nd to last tab…

if you change the noaa report header/footer template files and remove the html code there

Hi Brian,

Just tried your "October 11, 2007, 11:52:05 PM " suggestion.

I am afraid that it does not work.

If HTML header and footer are deleted in the “noaahtm0.txt and noaahtm2.txt” and not regenreated,
in the “noaahtm1.txt” the 

  tag is always regenrated.


I did not also find a way to a save as: dailynoaareportxxxx.txt


Also how can I ask WD to generate these reports (including annual) automaticaly…?

Hi everyone and body WD vers: 10.377R b 286

As said in my end of July post and unanswered for now, the is a bug while customizing the
noaahtm0.txt, noaahtm1.txt and noaahtm2.txt files.

I have erased all html tags in these files for I want to use only the text data with a
third party software.

Problem, bug as shown on the attached pict, the 

  html tag remains in the converted file.

Correction will be deeply appreciated.

with that html tag, then the text will not display correctly under html

the next update of WD will have it in the noaahtm0.txt file instead

Hi Brian,
I could agree with you, but…

One that wants to customize (as I) may want to convert these xxx.htm files to xxx.txt files.

I so need completely blank templates.

A third party software changes the extension of the files in my case.

I have the latest version of WD (09/05) 10.37R293

The 

 problem is still there. It shows up in the dailynoaareportxxxxx.htm file.


The problem is even getting worse as long as dailynoaareportxxxxx.htm only takes

the 5 first days of each month…?

Suggestion

Give an option for WD to save directly a dailynoaareportxxxxx.txt file keeping both possibilities of course.

Little update on the new problem.

dailynoaareportxxxxx.htm only takes the number of days equal to the date of month…?

And of course the 

 HTML tag is remaining in the customized template.

I have tested and its working as you want it here
you though need to delete the noaahtm0.txt, noaahtm1.txt, etc files
so that WD recreates them
and puts the 

 in noaahtm0.txt

then remove that from there

OK Brian,

The 

 problem is fixed, thanks.


But the NEW problem since version update is remaining.


If I select 8/2008 as date to calculate and then

click on “Update whole month now”, every things for now is OK

The whole month is generated.

Now if I click on “Update daynoaareport.htm”, for the same month

Then ONLY the dates from 01 of the selected month and year

to actual number of the day of actual month is regenerated.

This bug did NOT exist in previous versions.

I can post picts if needed.

3rd pict display of dailynoaareport82008.htm with Notepad++

[color=blue][b]Note the calendar date on the upper right part of the PC’s screen. ( 8th of september)
dailynooareport82008.htm goes no further while basic noaa report is OK.

Same result for any month regenerated. Picts available on demand.

You give me the clues to customize noaahtmx.txt files to get a pure x.txt noaa report. (No HTML tag)

OK I do so… And it works now, NO tags. BUT WITH THE BEFORE DESCRIBED BUG. (300% SURE)

Now if I basicaly have WD regenerate the noaahtmX.txt file every thing works OK.

PLEASE when you trouble shoot use same configuration as one reporting.

1-) Nothing customized == everything OK
2-) Customized with NO HTML tags in the reports == BUG == regeneration ONLY up to curent date day.

Please erase ALL HTML tags in the three noaahtmX.txt files and test after… ==== BUG

I still cant duplicate
I try
noaahtm0.txt and noaahtm2.txt empty
still no problem, noaahtm1.txt contains all 31 days for say august last year (or any year I choose)

are you sure you are using build 293?
