I placed my aux temp sensor as Attic %generalextratemp1% on the graphs area. The aux temp is plotting correctly, but the label only displays the current ready and not the reading under the cursor as the other graphs’ labels do.
What have I done wrong here? What I want is the Aux Temp sensor from my Tx WX WR-25 to be plotted (it is) in dark red (it is) on the main graphs (it is) with its label displayed as the other graphed variables (it wasn’t until I added an extra label to the graphs page) and to show the value at the cursor point when scrolling (it doesn’t).
I hope I have made that clear.
To complicate things - this WXDisplay is running in stationless mode by reading the data.csv file generated by VWS v 15 on another PC on the LAN. It updates in near real time.
I am running WxDisplay version 10.37S138 on Win 10 Pro 21H2
I am happy if I can plot the attic temp on the main graphs and have its value label shown as the others and indicate the value at the cursor point.
I hope I am sending the correct files - I read an old post about how to send settings and datafiles and tried to follow that - If I have not sent the right ones, please just tell me which files to zip and I will correct it.
You can have mine too, Brian, if you want. It’s been this way since I started graphing extratemp (Control Panel > Graph Setup > Solar/UV/Misc. Setup > Plot Extra Temp) as “Garden” temp in 2017. My custom label is %generalextratemp1% too.
@bitsostring
you are using a custom tag, set as %generalextratemp1%, to display the extra tempeature value
just because you have placed that in the graph labels area does not mean its going to show the data as graph cursor position
WD does not know you want that to happen
there is no settings or facility for that to happen
That’s what @longmire and I were saying. You can set to graph extratemp OK but there is no legend/label/value for it above the graphs. That’s why I use a custom label and tag, even though I know that past data won’t show at cursor position.
Problem is, any legend/label would have to be user-defined to describe the actual “extratemp” they were graphing
