Custom ecowitt upload switch from GW2000 to HP2551

Hello
I prefer to use a custom uoplad ecowitt with my HP2551 console
how to do a new “clean” uoplad template installation ?
I already have a custom uoplad which currently works but for my GW2000 gateway
I suppose I would have a problem with the file=ecowitt/ecco_lcl.arr :pensive:
thank you in advance have a nice weekend

test carried out custom but offline data station ?

You used the same website/server already in the past

Mon, 03 May 2021 08:04:22 +0000 = Ecowitt data:
Sun, 31 Dec 2023 09:34:15 +0000 = Ecowitt data received:
Thu, 04 Jan 2024 09:20:03 +0000 = Ecowitt data received:

And now you are using another ecowitt device since yesterday.

Thu, 04 Jan 2024 09:20:03 +0000 = Ecowitt data received:
OK-69: The string between => and <= is an invalid passkey =>xxxxxxxE2970031B303EE00159D9F5xxxxx<= .
 Problem-109: Invalid data:

The new-device uploads are rejected as they are only accepted from your previous device until you reset the allowed device passkey.
Every time you use another upload device you have to delete the old file
. . ./pwsxWD./ecowitt/ecco_key.arr
That file contains the last valid device passkey used in an encripted way.
That file is checked against the passkey of the uploading device every time a new upload arrives. This way

  1. We are sure that hackers do not flood your website with invalid or unwanted data.
  2. Your passkey is not stored in a human readable way
  3. Only your ecowitt device can upload

Please also delete the file
. . .,/pwsWD/ecowitt/ecco_stats.txt
That file is only for testing and all “invalid uploads” are documented in that file.

Succes,
Wim

Hi,

I am curious:

Just a question, do you have a support token?
Or did you since 2014 “forget” to donate for your Leuven Template website and/or the PWS_Dashboard installations?

A few months ago, there was a discussion of an acceptable amount for those needing support.
20 → 30€ / year seemed to most posters an adequate amount.

Maybe I did I overlook your donation on the Leuven template user-list
or maybe you used anther name or e-mail?

Wim

'I’ve used the model for several years yes (but not only) I left it aside because I was developing another weather project
A few weeks ago, I took it back and re-installed it for my setup. So in the meantime I found myself here looking left and right to see if there are any further updates
I can stay with PWS and I hope it doesn’t bother you, although from time to time there may be questions that are obvious to you but not to me who sometimes gets stuck in the system…

Happy to find this post … I recently changed to a new device and uploads were not working. I did notice a ecco_test.arr drop into the folder. So I changed easyweather data path to match (test.arr instead of lcl.arr) and it worked.
After reading this topic though I deleted ecco_key.arr and ecco_stats.txt and changed the easyweather data path back to lcl.arr … and all is good in the world again.
