Creating the basics

I would like to ask someone to give me some pointers for the webpage that Weather Display makes. I know it adds the basics, but what should it look like after it’s created? I’ve been clicking on things here and there. But Im not sure Im getting everything I ask it to add.

If someone can send me a screenshot of what it should look like before modifying, please send.

Currently using FreshWDL.

I want a template similar to this:

I haven’t built a website in years, but I’m familiar with the basics.
Using Dream Weaver and notepad to modify things.

That’s a Saratoga Template based site. Downloads and documentation can be found here - Saratoga-Weather.org - Website Templates - AJAX/PHP

Thanks! I’ll research it. Let you know how it goes

I didn’t set out to run a WD basic webpage but it seemed to happen when I turned on the main internet switch: see Swanston Grove Weather Data

As @administrator says, the Macungie site is indeed based on the Saratoga template (see https://swanston.maui.co.uk/ajax/) but it is in fact the alternate dashboard designed by Scott of Burnsville Weather (Saratoga-Weather.org - Legacy Scripts)

And please don’t use Microsoft Notepad for anything serious: try Notepad++

Thanks. That’s what mine looked like too. Just wanted to be sure I was doing everything right. I have no problem with it, but I’m running a station in very rural areas where people may not be able to understand it very easily. I like the WDLive, but I want maps on the site. Embedding maybe? Thanks for the tip on notepad. I do plan to use it soon. Just haven’t needed it yet. Using Dreamweaver for the heavy coding until I can re-learn everything.

I wouldn’t use Dreamweaver, it adds unnecessary code. Sticking with Notepad++ is cleaner. I have embedded maps, satellite, radar etc. if you want to take a look here: Clayton, NC Weather - Home. Happy to share any php files if interested.

I’m trying to relearn everything from scratch. I always clean up the code when I’m done, though. It’s been 15 years or so, since I’ve done websites. Lots of changes to get used to. I loved the video on your site! Meteor showers? Very nice! Thank You for offering your help. I’m in the process of getting a SKYWARN group together so, it will be a couple of days before I can work on the site. But I will take you up on your offer!!
