Counter on dials gif?

Just out of curiosity, can someone tell me what the counter is for on the dials graphic (indexwddial.gif)?

Thanks,

Simon

there is a thread about this in the feature request (daily wind run)
and its in the history.txt file

Ah thanks - I did of a search first (honest guv’ner!)

Is it in miles Brian? And a whole number (no tenths of a mile)?

its in the wind units you have selected (although m/s will be in km)
no decimal place (not sure if the component allows that)

Hi, why is it showing a diffant amount than the wind energy/hours graph, mine counter is showing 192 miles but my wind energy/hours graph is showing 257 miles, see web site www.wilneyweather.co.uk.

instead of looking on your web, when images might be updated at different time, look in WD itself
(i.e compare the 2 screens)

Hi Windy, I have, & they are still showing diffant readings.

OK
looks like I was not converting to miles correctly for when mph in use
the next update of WD will fix that

Hi Windy, thanks for that.

many thanks

teal.

done that now

Thanks for that Windy, now working o/k, sorry to be a pain but is there any way to label it.

many thanks.

no way you can
but I can add a label if that what people are needing
(I thought of thought it would be obvious what it is)

It would also need a label for units ideally, which is tricky since it depends on user settings.

done
use the latest .zip update

you can also right mouse click on the weather dials screen and set to not show the odometer , since WD users seem to not like anything new

Hi Windy, many thanks for doing that, is there any way of changing the back ground colour etc of the wind energy/ hours page.

many thanks.

teal.

sorry, no
you can set to not show it…

Oops, I see it.

Yes just down load the latest version WD10.37r b48, then click on view, then weather dials, then right hand click, then click on odometer yes/no. Windy has labeled it in this update, see my site www.wilneyweather.co.uk just scroll down to the dials you will see that it has been labeled.

That worked except I had to leave the oddometer in (even though no one knows or cares what it is?) because the frame doesn’t downsize to just contain the 3 main jpg’s so you end up with a lope sided frame unless you include it?

I think the biggest problem I have may be somewhat unique, I use VWS because it allows me to pick and choose each gauge, graph etc. and color/size and place it as I want to serve my clientele. WD arbitrarily creates a number of “scenarios” with panels of gauges etc which is probably good for many folks, but doesn’t work for those of us with unique custom web pages.
