Interestingly, I haven’t had the freezing icon problem up through b266 but when I installed the latest version, b281, on Saturday I now do. Also, the screen gif (animated) no longer updates. No errors in the event log.

when you get the control panel icon problem then there will be errors
you can also check the programerrorlog.txt file
I have not changed the main screen animated gif creation, so that is strange that is not working for you
(how exactly do you mean by its not working though?)
I have done more updates to build 281, so make sure to use the latest update

Yes, lots of errors, all since switch to b281. I’ll send them tonight. Main screen animation is no longer saving except on WD startup, which I have set to save and upload every 5 minutes. This was working in b266. I can try canceling gif. and see if the icons start to work again.

I just noticed tonight that probably starting when I changed the screen animation gif to a plain gif testtags.php stopped being created. I just switched back to b266. (on Vista) I can try the latest zip this weekend when I have more time.

you should find with build .zip update, 282 is OK now for this particular problem
(was a very obscure problem and was actually to do with the way the new compiler works…i.e code that worked OK before was not working OK Now
and I was going around in circles! )

Build 282 has been running for a little over 3 hours. Getting some errors and the buttons in Custom Internet and File Creation are not responsing. The programerror log can be opened as well as all the icons in the control panel screen. That is real progress.
The tag %weatherdiscription% was updating but stopped after about an hour. The advanced graphs were also updating but have also stopped. Pressing the advanced graphs button on the view screen kicks me out of the view screen.

i had not changed all the code to the new way that is needed
by the compiler e.g in the customize internet and file creation setup.but i will do that

Files seem to be being created and uploaded although times seem a bit odd. Testtags.php is now working but uploads are behind schedule…maybe every 12 minutes not the 5 minutes it should be. I haven’t had a chance to investigate.
Icons were frozen this morning and quite a few errors in log.
